Planning & Zoning

The Planning and Zoning Department coordinates growth and redevelopment within the City of Arlington. The Department administers and implements the City’s Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance (land use), and Subdivision Ordinance (platting). Land use and/or building permits are needed for a variety of issues. Please contact City Hall if you are contemplating any change to your property, including but not limited to: demolition, construction, or replacement of any structure or feature. You may pick up information and application materials at City Hall or download here. The Planning & Zoning Department consists of the Planning Commission, the Zoning Official, and the Building Official.
