This presentation will provide information on how we can work together to fight sex trafficking. It provides information about how to work with child protection teams, human services, and probation officers and includes recent research about prostitution stings, how to use the media to our advantage, and how to educate the public about sexual exploitation. 

●Cooperation across jurisdictional boundaries and disciplines to combat sexual exploitation. Includes all public employees: law enforcement, advocates, probation, teachers & human services etc. 

● Identify what demand looks like in greater Minnesota – what men want, what they’re willing to risk, and what they are willing to pay. 

● Sharing and training with multidisciplinary teams to develop common sense tactics to respond to trafficking and sexual exploitation. 

● How to educate your community on this difficult topic, involving law enforcement and prosecutors and other community leaders through public education talks, and speaking to schools and community organizations.

 

Marc Chadderdon is an Investigator with the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office in St. Peter. He is also the founder and president of Minnesota South Central Investigators Coalition (MSCIC), an organization of over 90 local, state and federal investigators from over 40 different agencies across southern Minnesota. This organization shares information and resources between jurisdictions to result in successful prosecutions, and to provide the highest quality training to Minnesota law enforcement. Marc earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Mankato State University and has worked approximately twelve years as a Deputy Sheriff and ten years as an Investigator. Marc has investigated burglaries, thefts, assaults, narcotics, human trafficking, sexual assault, and homicide. He grew up in Le Center, MN, and has resided in Nicollet since 1995.
