Nick Thomes opened his hardware business in September 1889, and the Thomes family has continuously conducted a hardware business in Arlington since. The present proprietors are the fourth and fifth generations of the Thomes Family. On Friday, September 5, 2014 the Arlington Historical Society will celebrate Thomes Brothers 125th anniversary.
