SIBLEY COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
In partnership with Tri-County Solid Waste, the City of Arlington would like to promote a clean and healthy community by designating Wednesday, May 24, 2017 as ARLINGTON CLEAN-UP DAY. Property owners within city limits may bring items to the Sibley County Fairgrounds between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Be prepared to show proof you reside within the city limits of Arlington.
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS (Tri-County)
(Vendors will be on hand to accept items for payment)
Tires — $2-20.00/ea. Appliances — $10.00/ea.
Computer Hard Drives — $5.00/each Mattresses/Box Spring — $10.00/ea.
Keyboards, Mouse and Cell Phones — $1.00/each Large Appliances — $TBD
Monitors, Printers, Stereos, VCRs, TVs 19” and smaller — $5.00/each
TVs larger than 19” and larger units — $10.00/each
Complete Computer Set: Tower, Monitor, Mouse & Keyboard — $10.00/set
Baleable Metal, Scrap Metal, Lawn Mowers and Steel — $FREE
Kids Car Seats — $FREE
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS (City of Arlington residents only*)
(Dumpsters will be available at no charge. Proof of residency required.)
*Items must originate from within City of Arlington limits
UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS
Demolition debris (shingles, sheetrock, lumber, decking), hazardous waste (used motor oil, paints, liquids, chemicals), watch/flashlight batteries, motor oil filters, antifreeze, fluorescent light bulbs, cement or asphalt, petroleum products or containers which contained petroleum products. Absolutely no household/kitchen garbage.
GRASS CLIPPINGS/SMALL BRUSH/COMPOST
Yard and garden wastes, leaves, lawn cuttings, weeds, shrub and tree waste and prunings are accepted at the COMPOST SITE ONLY at 670 Freedom Drive. Brush chipping is available for large quantities for a fee. Contact the City Office at (507) 964-2378.
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTIONS
Household hazardous waste will be collected on Thursday, May 4th, in the City of LeSueur and Thursday, September 21st, in the City of Klossner. On both collection dates, the sites will be open from 10:00 am– 4:00 pm. Any questions contact the Tri-County Solid Waste Office at (507) 934-7078.
