Arlington City Council 2019-2020 Goals
1. Business development and retention goals
a. Support the EDA in assisting businesses with succession planning
b. Keep Main Street Arlington vibrant and active in coordination with the Chamber
c. Negotiate purchase options for future industrial park
2. Increase housing options, attract new residents and maintain quality of properties
a. Support Choose Arlington
b. Support community events such as scheduling programming at the Gazebo
3. Long-range planning
a. Develop and follow a five year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)
b. Make improvements to the City’s infrastructure as funds are available including
repairing sidewalks and updating the long range sidewalk plan.
c. Build an IT network and retain documents electronically.
d. Support the EDA in promoting more construction of senior and low income
housing.
