BOOKS AND BEYOND

at the Arlington Public Library

The Library and APLL extends a big THANK YOU to everyone who assisted with and participated in the events of Santa Day and the Arli-Dazzle Parade to make it such a huge success.  It was great to see so many people having a fun day and evening.  A special thank you to all the bakers that donated for the bake sale that benefited youth programming for the library, as well as Andrea Harbarth and Usborne Books for hosting the book fair at Santa Day that also benefited the Library.  THANK YOU also goes out to Howard Schneider for providing Flash and the buggy for our parade unit, as well as driving us in the parade!

There is still time for children to return their Sesame Street Live forms to the Library for a chance to win FREE tickets to see Sesame Street Live at the Verizon Wireless Center in Mankato on January 19 and 20, 2010.   If you haven’t filled out a form, stop by and pick one up!

The next meeting of APLL is scheduled for Wednesday, January 20, 2009 at 6:45 p.m. at the Library.  If anyone would like to join APLL, you are welcome to do so.  APLL is a group of citizens who are interested in supporting and promoting the Arlington Public Library, regardless of where they live.  You do not have to be residents of Arlington to be a member of APLL.  There is no fee for membership.  If you are interested in joining, please see either Kathy at the Library or one of the Library Committee members.  We look forward to seeing you there!
