High Island Creek Residence 708 Chestnut Drive (507) 964-5984 is a fifteen-bed home for adults with mental challenges has become an involved part of the community. The 5-20 staff members provide 24-hour care, training, and activities for the residents. A volunteer board of directors oversees this non-profit facility. Day training is offered by the neighboring Sibley County Developmental Achievement Center and some residents work in a sheltered environment in New Ulm. Trained residential and medical staffs assure quality care for these clients, most of who are natives of Sibley County. A variety of services and referrals are offered through the home. The home is considered one of the finest such facilities in Minnesota.

Amberfield Place apartment communities were developed in 1994 to meet the demands for quality, affordable, market rate housing. Amberfield Place apartments are still meeting those needs today.

The one, two and three bedroom apartments offer features that make the apartments feel like home. The general occupancy apartments of Amberfield Place are one story homes with private entrances.
